Coach,
You been having me eat like a starving caveman once / week and I've been complying (no complaints here) but the strange thing is that I am getting leaner and tighter as the weeks go by,not to mention my strength and endurance is through the roof when training and performing MMA;what gives? i thought foods like pizza, burgers, fries, cakes, etc weren't good for looking good and performance reasons...

bs,
you are correct sir...usually,these foods you mention are not cosmetically helpful;nevertheless, under the right metabolic conditions, your body thrives on calorie spike to replenish its lost stores from stenuous exercise, daily stressors,etc...remember individualization is key as well as proper timing...there's many ways to 'skin a cat' and this is one way which is working for you right at this given time...in theory, this all has to do with hunger hormones and leptin sensitivity...glad you're enjoying your results.

I followed a simular diet that some of you are on and here is my experience with it:
Over the course of 2 years i changed from being about 310lbs and looking really soft .... to being 290lb with full abs and feeling amazing. It was great to have a cheat day once a week, it helped to keep my sanity, keep my workouts going strong, keep me refreshed, and while i was on the diet i added lots of lean muscle and trimrd off a lot of fat all at the same time! I sure miss those cheat days now that i'm on a different diet!
I should post up some of my old cheat days (i.e. what i ate) .... they were famous!

Well, Aaron I can agree with everything you said about the full cheat day...it feels great that once a week you can eat whatever you want and not think about diet food. It gives you a little break and then you are ready to take on your week with dieting. Right now that is what Theo has me on diet throughout the week and then 1 day eat whatever I want, I should also post some things I eat you'll probably get a kick out of it and won't believe me. This diet makes me look forward to something as well as gives me energy in the gym and at home running after my 11 month old baby. It has made me lean, hard, and is the diet for me right now because I am a person that either diets or goes all out when I cheat.
