There are a lot of Chinese or other Ethnic dishes mainly consisting of beef, chicken, pork, shrimp, fish, rice, and vegetables that seem to fit a diet given the right portions assuming none of it is fried. I was wondering what is acceptable if anything? I understand that MSG is a no-no, what about other sauces?

Davis,
Anytime you wonder into 'restaurant' land you take a chance, unless it's a grill IMO and you are aware that the restaurant CAN accomodate your diet...if you're on a fat loss plan, predictability needs to be consistent for long term success...as you get leaner and maintain it for long periods of time, your windown opens up and variety is available somewhat...it depends though on needs state and goal orientation for sure. For me,grills are are sometimes used in the off-season especially but when it comes to shoots and gigs where prep is a concern,it's my wife or I that cook my meals, this way I know what I'm eating within a controlled environment...
