Hi Theo,
Up until recently ive always used a higher carb, low to zero fat diet with good results but recently i have tweaked my diet so that Meals 1,2 & 3 are protein & startch( Oats & Yams) and meals 4,5,& 6 are Protein, veg & fats. My daily carb intake has now dropped down to 100g a day but my overall cals are slightly higher. surprisnlgly i feel great eating like this full of energy, good pumps and most of all NO cravings !! The fat seems to have helps with my hunger immensly. At present my "fats" are coming from Egg,Nuts ( almonds, cashews) and 100% natural PB. nothing else is added to this just pure peanuts.Do you consider any of those foods a bad choice in regards to cosmetics? So far im getting good results but would like to know your opinion?
My last meal which is 2 scoops of ProPeptite(formerly yates approved) with 30g PB mixed up taste just like snickers dude, its great. The thing is i look more forward to eating the PB and almonds than i did when i was eating more rice cakes etc.....
thoughts?
best
-Dan

Interesting question Dan and good timing. In my most recent diet from Scott I was allowed PB for one of my meals as well as nuts as protein source for one meal per day. Mind you diet is geared more towards performance and not cosmetics. I feel tighter and leaner since adopting new diet.
As far as I am concerned fat (especially from sources listed) will not do any bad per se. If anything will make you look and feel fuller (part of the reason BB's fat load). But from my understanding if you are doing or aiming to do Cycle Diet, picking one protein sparing nutrient is more beneficial.

Hi Darius,
Yeah really im just interested to hear Theo's and Scott views on it really, I know guys like palumbo uses PB and nuts all the way through prep, but then poliquin says peanut butter should have NO place in a diet!
RE: Me and CD right now im just having one off diet meal per week, with the meal mainly based on carbs, so more of a carb spike.
thanks

Danny,
Here's my take and one that many disagree with, but who cares,I know better from my own experiences as well as my clients...it's all about calories in the end and needs state...I can't really comment on specifics as far as your plan, but based on your feedback, you're on the right path...now,including fats as you are doing is fine although I have noticed it's harder to deplete ones energy stores but over time anything is possible of course...so,if it's working for you, keep it in...as for Poliquin and PB,C'MON MAN...That's ridiculous...I have many using PB on high fat diets and they are ripped to the bone and performance is at an all time high...these biosignature 'labels' are details which 99% of the population need not worry about...minutia so to speak...I endorse everything as long as it serves...to me NO FOOD IS BAD FOOD...that is just me though...
